MEDICAL GRADE LASER HAIR REMOVAL
At Dr Sobia Medispa we offer Cynosure laser hair removal, which an industry leading laser hair removal treatment, which delivers excellent results. We can treat all skin types including asian and caucasian skin and virtually all types of hair with the exception of grey hair.
HOW DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORK?
Laser Hair Removal works by using a beam of light energy which is absorbed by areas of high pigment/melanin in the hair, where it transfers as heat energy. The heat energy heats and penetrates into the hair and damages the follicle. Once the follicle is damaged follicle it is then unable to grow new hairs.
At our award winning CQC registered clinic we use the latest Cynosure Laser with a dual-wavelength consisting of a 755nm Alexandrite laser and a 1064 nm Nd: YAG laser. This enables out laser therapists to target a variety of different hair colours and skin types, delivering fast and effective results.
Our gold standard medical grade laser can be used on a variety of skin types and hair types. We get the best results with those with darker coloured hair.
POPULAR AREAS TO TREAT

LASER HAIR REMOVAL FOR MEN
Laser hair removal is becoming increasingly popular with men and not just women. We have many patients who want treatment for unwanted. Popular male areas include:
- – Chest
- – Back
- – Beard line
- – Ear lobes
- – Between the eye brows.
Our expert laser therapists will always take a full medical history and also perform a patch test to ensure that it is safe to proceed with the treatment. The patch test is usually performed 1-2 weeks before the treatment starts.
Treatment times are fast with our industry leading laser, with absolutely no downtime whatsoever. For example a small area such as the upper lip can takes as little as 5 mins, whilst a full body can take around 45 mins. We ask patients to shave the area that is being treated.
We generally recommend 6-8 session, each spaced between 4-6 week apart.
We expect up to 80% permanent reduction. However an annual top up is recommended. Often patients see the results immediately whilst some experience good results as early as after 2-3 sessions.
